The Spring edition of Lift Industry News
2026 is out now!
The Spring Edition of Lift Industry News is bursting with news and views - and we are celebrating the amazing women of the VT industry! Everyone in the picture on our spectacular front cover has been featured in the magazine.
This quarter, Nikki Philps, COO at Arrow Lifts is our Guest Editor, we interview Laura Webb, the new MD at LEIA and dive into the lives of Zoe Grant, Lift Engineer and Kirstie McCormack, the new MD at Avire. One of our regular contributors, Rachel Smalley, asks if we are designing lifts for women, with a statistical look at the lift experience. And we meet Natasha Merricks, a new graduate at Jacobs in the Red Pill lift in London for her Elevator Pitch. Plus we publish a paper from the 2019 Lift & Escalator Symposium by one of the greatest women in the business, the late Dr Gina Barney and we round off the Knowledge Bank with a 2022 paper from Dr Gabriela Roivainen, recently appointed Head of system simulation at KONE.
PLUS the future of elevator drives, the importance of counterweight guards, tackling the issue of late payment and the cost of running your business on paper.
The late great Robin Williams said Spring is nature’s way of saying ‘Let’s Party’ and Ted agrees as he encourages us to celebrate success in his Ted Barks column.
So join us and celebrate this fantastic industry!
