The first edition of Lift Industry News
for 2026 is out now!
January - named after the Roman god Janus, famously depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions (past and future). He presided over doorways, gates, and passages, symbolizing new starts and endings, and is the namesake for January.
So in the January edition of LIN we look forward to the future of the VT industry with interviews with apprentices at Target and PIP, former apprentice Ellie at Robert Gerrard, apprentice Sophie at LECS on visiting Interlift, and an article from Karen Slade at LEIA on the future of apprenticeships with the Government reforms aimed at streamlining the apprenticeship assessment process. And our Guest Editor is Paul Masterson from PIP Lift Service - a former apprentice himself!
More looking to the future: an in-depth interview with Enrique Miñarro Viseras, President, Otis EMEA, and Aleš Korotvička, Vice President & General Manager, Otis UK & Nordics.
And we look back on Interlift 2025, the Lift Industry Charity dinner dance, the CIBSE visit to China, the inspiration behind the LIFT professional brand, and we celebrate the life of a Lift Legend, Mike Godwin.
Ted is always in the present so he gives his thoughts on SAD and we interview Master Luke….
We start 2026 with another packed edition - don’t miss it!
