Now that the new process to apply for approval of plans under the Building Regulations in England are fully in force, there is much debate about what is required. The new and more onerous Gateway two regime for applications for higher risk buildings is causing disruption and delay, with fewer than half of proposals approved, and many taking longer than anticipated.
