The EEST  has completed  15 Years of spreading Safety Awareness amongst Elevator & Escalator users. It was established December 2008 with the objective to educate children and citizens on the safe use of elevators, escalators and moving walks so that accidents which happen due to ignorance could be avoided.

In the initial years the Elevator & Escalator Safety Trust reached out to Schools to educate students on Elevator and Escalator Safety, where we conducted the Safe-T-Rider program and educated children and teachers in schools.

In 2022 EEST conducted a special activity for children at the ISEE’22 expo – “Bring Children to Work” where children were given a safety program and walked around the booths to get a glimpse of the elevator & escalator industry. 

The EEST safety module “The Safe-T Rider” video has been dubbed into 8 languages - Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu and has impacted over 450,000 people

Elevator Companies who have supported this outreach are Johnson Lifts, OTIS Elevators, TK Elevator India, City Lifts, Fujitec India, Hitachi Lifts, Schindler India, and Toshiba Johnson Elevators India.
