Stannah awards student's innovative gaming headset design for hearing aid users
Bournemouth University Student Sam Gaze was awarded the Joseph Stannah Award at this year’s New Designers exhibition which showcases over 3,000 student designs. The award recognises the most innovative and inclusive design that promotes independent living, and was presented by Ross Pascoe, Chief Technical Officer at Stannah.
Sam’s Immersion Gamers Headset is the first type of headphones designed for hearing-aid users. It provides better clarity, perception and experience of surround sound for users and allows them to independently change volume in either ear. This original design will provide a far better experience for the 12 million people in the UK that have some form of hearing loss.
