A few months ago, LECS UK made an appeal for support with a Lift Modernisation Project needed in The Samaritans building in Manchester. They received an overwhelming outpour of support from across the Lift Industry which came together to deliver for this project. You can read our initial coverage of the story here.

Last month, LECS had reached the point of testing but encountered a failure that forced them to ask for a final act of kindness from the industry. To overcome the problem the team needed a new safety gear unit, and identified the Dynatech ASG100 for an 11mm guide (downwards only). 

The appeal received numerous kind responses, and with the assistance of Friedrich von Maltzahn of CTV (Spain) and Ascendant Lifts & Escalators, they were able to overcome the issue. The Samaritans were extremely grateful for the support and the joint response illustrates the kind collaboration that often takes place across the Lift Industry.
