Elevatori: Elevatori on the Television

On 28th January Elevatori Magazine  were the stars of  TV station RaiUno’s morning show Uno Mattina,  with Daniele Pavan, President of the UNI Lifts Commission and Technical Director of TK Elevator Italia, talking about safety and good practices with lifts. Italy, according to ANIE AssoAscensori data, is the second largest country in the world in terms of installed lifts, with almost 1,000,000 systems that make about one hundred million trips every day. More than 70% of the lifts in service in our country, however, have been in operation for more than twenty years, and almost 50% for more than thirty; figures that should give us pause for thought.

Lift Journal: Publication of EN ISO 8100-1/2 postponed

The publication of EN ISO 8100-1/2 has been postponed until December 2025. This is one of the main news items to come out of the 41st plenary meeting of the CEN/TC 10. More than 40 delegates attended the meeting. This project is the biggest one ever undertaken by CEN/TC 10, which will result in a truly global standard for the safety of lifts. More than 67 countries, CEN and ISO members, have a direct interest in these standards.
