In a heartwarming display of community support, Ascendant successfully raised an impressive £600 for Veterans In Crisis Sunderland (VICS). The fundraising walk, led by Managing Director Suzanne Lisle, saw a team of dedicated ladies take on a challenging 20k walk around the Northumberland Coast.

The funds raised will be instrumental in providing essential assistance and support to ex-service men, women, and their families as they navigate life after their military service. The walk aimed to raise awareness about the challenges veterans face during their transition back to civilian life, including mental health, unemployment, housing, and reintegration issues.

Suzanne expressed her gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the charity walk. The support offered by VICS includes mental health counseling, financial assistance, job training programs, housing support, and outreach initiatives tailored to the specific needs of veterans in the Sunderland area.
