That’s the back story to The Tower of Terror movie that debuted on The Wonderful World of Disney in 1997. Based on the frightfully fun Twilight Zone Tower of Terror that used to be at Walt Disney World. The attraction features a controlled elevator drop in a 1930’s Hollywood hotel.
