To make the process more streamlined and easier to navigate, ESFA have announced two changes to their online apprenticeship service. The changes are in regard to the apprenticeship levy, which businesses can pledge to transfer up to 25 per cent of to any other business of their choice. The business will promote its pledge to transfer and then interested parties can apply for the transfer of funds.

An auto-approval feature has been added for transfer requests, which will review all applications in order of receipt. The first application reviewed that is a 100 per cent match will be approved without the need for further input. Anything less than a 100 per cent match will be flagged to the business to review manually.

Employers in receipt of transferred funds will now also be able to view their transferred allowance and remaining funds in their account, to help them manage their finances more easily.
