Griffin Elevators reaches new heights

Leading custom lift electronics provider – Griffin Elevators – has partnered with Sims4Lifts to enhance the safety and efficiency of its operations across several high-profile locations across the UK.

Founded in 1994 by Ian Griffin, Griffin Elevators has built a legacy of delivering expert technical assistance and designing custom solutions for the lift industry. Over the years, the company has grown into a trusted name, known for its unwavering commitment to both quality and customer service.

Today, Griffin Elevators undertakes major projects for local authorities, mainstream building contractors and independent consultants, with a steadfast dedication to maintaining their ISO certifications.

As a provider of multi-roam SIM cards specifically designed for lift companies, Sims4Lifts has been a game changer for Griffin, ensuring reliable communication, regardless of network strength, in case of emergencies.

Sharron Barnes, Operations Manager at Griffin Elevators, highlights the benefits brought about by the partnership, stating: “The service we have received from Sims4Lifts is second to none. We feel fully in control of our SIM cards – their location, expiry dates, and telephone numbers. It is a position that, as the Operations Manager, I very much appreciate”.

Griffin Elevators initially began its collaboration with Sims4Lifts over 16 months ago, quickly recognising the benefits of a more streamlined approach. Previously, the activation process was manual, but with the introduction of a new portal by Sims4Lifts, Griffin Elevators can now activate SIM cards, monitor their status, and manage their lifecycle with ease. This shift has significantly reduced administrative burdens and ensured that the company’s clients receive uninterrupted service.

Sharron Barnes elaborates, explaining “The process is seamless.  I enter the sim number, the details of the site, the term required and the date I want the sim to commence.  This part of the system is invaluable, as previously I issued sims to engineers and they do not always fit them until a few days later.  This way, once the sim is fitted the client gets the full term”.

Griffin Elevators has deployed Sims4Lifts’ SIM cards across a variety of settings, including high footfall areas in Hertfordshire, Central London, East London, Kent and Surrey.

The reliability of these SIMs is paramount, as they are critical in ensuring that clients are fully protected in the event of an emergency. “We have not experienced any signal issues and, without question, would recommend them to other companies”, Barnes added.

The collaboration has not only reinforced Griffin Elevators’ commitment to excellence but also solidified Sims4Lifts’ reputation as a leading provider of communication solutions for the lift industry.

Together, the two companies are ensuring safety and reliability are never compromised, regardless of where lifts are located.
